Boy Scouts Start Food Drive

The scouts are looking for donations of canned or nonperishable food that will go straight to the Food Bank For The Heartland's pantry. Patrol leader Jonathan Medlan said giving back has its own rewards. “We're with St. Peter's Catholic Church, which is the Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, and we bring in the food there. We stock the shelves and everything and it's a really good feeling when we see the entire wall filled to the bursting point. You can't find room for it and it's a great feeling when you see that.” Scouts will leave tags on doors asking for donations and will return to pick up donated items next Saturday, April 9th. The Food Bank says it's their second largest drive of the year.
